Source: Variety Jim Carrey and director Joel Schumacher are negotiating to team on The Number 23, a Fernley Phillips-scripted New Line drama, reports Variety. Carrey will play a man who becomes obsessed and haunted upon reading a book that seems to be about his life but ends with a murder. The number 23 is woven throughout the plot. Carrey, who last worked for New Line on 1994's back-to-back blockbusters "Mask" and "Dumb and Dumber," just completed "Fun With Dick and Jane" for Sony. He'll make "Number 23" before he heads off to star with Ben Stiller in the Jay Roach-directed "Used Guys" for 20th Century Fox. That pic will shoot late next spring. |
