According to The Hollywood Reporter, William Hurt  is in negotiations to play the U.S. president in Columbia Pictures' thriller Vantage Point.

Dennis Quaid and Matthew Fox already have boarded the project, which chronicles an attempted presidential assassination told from five points of view. Pete Travis is directing from a Barry Levy screenplay.
