Disney's Latin label Miravista is producing its first Mexican film since setting up a local production office last year under producer Inna Payan ("Chilango Blues"), reports Variety.
Romantic comedy Cansado de besar sapos (Tired of Kissing Frogs) will be the first feature from helmer Jorge Colon, a Miami-based Venezuelan commercial director. Mexican film and TV director Joaquin Bissner penned the script.
L.A.-based producer Conrad Hool's son Christopher is producing via his Bazooka Films. Santo Domingo Films and Elisa Salinas Corp. co-produce. The $2.1 million pic will be distributed by Buena Vista Intl.
Story follows a graphic designer who gives up on love and opts for casual affairs after she discovers her boyfriend cheating on her. TV actress Ana Serradilla and Jose Maria de Tavira star.
