Neal Moritz's Original Film has pre-emptively acquired Erik Lohla's untitled eloping comedy spec, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The purchase was made out of Moritz's Sony discretionary fund, and the project is expected to land at Columbia Pictures.

The story is described as a romantic comedy in the same vein as "Meet the Parents" and chronicles all of the nightmares that go into planning a wedding.
