Paramount Pictures' specialty division has acquired a comedy pitch based on the Steve Carell starring short AMERICAN STORAGE, says The Hollywood Reporter. 

Andrew Cohen will direct from a screenplay penned by Brendan O'Brien and Cohen based on their screenplay for the short.

The story centers on a man who is trying to turn around a failing storage facility by leasing out units as low-rent apartments to random people on the Internet.

Beau Bauman is producing. Cohen and Bauman also produced the short.
