Fox 2000 and producer Gil Netter have tapped Oscar-winning scribe Bruce Joel Rubin to adapt INTO THE LIGHT, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is based on Robert Kurson's upcoming book, which was expanded from an article originally published in Esquire.
"Light" chronicles the true story of Michael May, a blind athlete who, among other accomplishments, holds the downhill skiing record for a completely blind person, racing at 65 mph. In 1999, May was offered a revolutionary stem-cell operation that potentially could restore his sight.
