Source: Variety Variety reports that Bob Berney's Picturehouse has acquired all North American distribution rights to Elisabeth Shue starrer GRACIE, loosely based on a real-life chapter from the thesp's childhood that will be directed by her husband, Davis Guggenheim ("An Inconvenient Truth"). Set in 1978, GRACIE tells the story of a teenage girl who fights to play on the boys' varsity soccer team after her brother, a soccer champion, dies. In the process, she wins the right for girls everywhere to play. Andrew Shue, Elisabeth Shue's brother, also will star in the feature, while Carly Schroeder ("Firewall," "Mean Creek") has been cast to play the girl. |
