Gold Circle Films has pre-emptively acquired Adam Sussman's horror spec script ANVIL and set Daniel Calparsoro to direct the picture, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story is described as a character-driven horror-thriller that centers on a young woman who stumbles into a remote Kansas town while on a road trip with her friends only to discover the locals are not what they seem and that she harbors a supernatural destiny.

Gold Circle will fully finance and has put the project on the fast track with the hopes of being in production before year's end.
