Variety reports that Morgan Freeman is in final talks to star in GONE, BABY, GONE, the private eye-cop mystery that Ben Affleck is directing for Miramax Films.

Affleck, who adapted the Dennis Lehane novel, began shooting this week in Boston. Ed Harris, Casey Affleck and Michelle Monaghan were already inked to star.

Story revolves around two private investigators who furiously search for a kidnapped 4-year-old, who has disappeared in the seamiest part of Boston. Freeman and Harris play cops drawn into the hunt.
