Rachael Leigh Cook has signed on for the baseball drama THE FINAL SEASON, joining a cast led by Sean Astin and Powers Boothe, reports Variety.

Based on true events, story revolves around the coach who led the high school baseball team in Norway, Iowa, to win 19 state championships in 23 years. Cook will play the love interest.

Cook stars in the upcoming "My First Wedding," as well as Warner Bros. Pictures' "Nancy Drew."
