According to The Hollywood Reporter, Miramax Films is developing a satirical comedy HOMELAND INSECURITY with screenwriter Robert Siegel, the former editor in chief of the Onion.

"Homeland" will track the misadventures of two Arab-Americans who are mistaken for terrorists while on a business trip to Texas.

It will be produced by David Miner and 3 Arts Entertainment, with Siegel contributing the screenplay. Siegel has co-written the script for "The Untitled Onion Movie" for Regency Enterprises and release by Fox Searchlight.
