Source: Hollywood Reporter Fox 2000 has picked up big-screen rights to Bharat Nalluri's BBC TV series HUSTLE, says The Hollywood Reporter. The show, which airs stateside on AMC, is in the same vein as "Ocean's Eleven" and revolves around a motley group of London con artists who pull off a series of daring and intricate stings. Series writer Tony Jordan will pen the feature. Nalluri is producing the film alongside Paul Webster (Focus Features' "Pride & Prejudice"), Jane Featherstone and Simon Crawford-Collins. Nalluri met Featherstone and Crawford-Collins when the three worked together on the BAFTA-winning British series "Spooks," also known as "MI-5" when it aired on A&E in the U.S. Nalluri, who directed the first and second episodes of "Spooks," also worked with Featherstone and Crawford-Collins on the series HUSTLE, which is based on Nalluri's original idea. |
