Variety reports that Michelle Monaghan is set to star opposite Ben Stiller in SEVEN DAY ITCH, a DreamWorks comedy inspired by "The Heartbreak Kid." Peter and Bobby Farrelly are directing.

Monaghan will play a young woman who causes a honeymooning groom to question his commitment to the woman he hastily married. The wife role is being cast; a DreamWorks spokesman denied reports that the Farrellys were planning to cast their "Shallow Hal" star Gwyneth Paltrow in the role. Actresses were reading for the role over the weekend.
