Chris Noth will co-star opposite actor-director Carl T. Evans in FRAME OF MIND, which centers on a police detective who uncovers a widespread government conspiracy, says The Hollywood Reporter.

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" star Noth will play a college professor skeptical of a New Jersey detective's discovery.

Production on the indie film is slated to begin in October in the Garden State.

In addition to playing the detective and helming the project, Evans is writing and producing it with Charles Kipps, a longtime friend of Noth and executive producer on the 1998 "Law & Order" TV movie "Exiled."
