Oscar nominee Helena Bonham Carter has been cast as Bellatrix Lestrange in
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which David Yates is directing for Warner Bros. Pictures, says
The Hollywood Reporter. Nicholas Hooper also has been brought on board to create the film's score.
The character of Lestrange is Sirius Black's cousin and a Death Eater, who is one of the evil Lord Voldemort's followers. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are reprising their roles as teen wizards Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
Bonham Carter is one of several newcomers to the "Harry Potter" franchise. Among the others are Imelda Staunton, who stars as Dolores Umbridge, and George Harris, who plays Kingsley Shacklebolt.
