According to The Hollywood Reporter, ThinkFilm has acquired all North American rights to one of the most talked-about films at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, Jake Kasdan's THE TV SET, starring David Duchovny and Sigourney Weaver.
The indie company paid in the low seven figures for the dark comedy, which will hit theaters in the spring.
THE TV SET chronicles the trials of an idealistic writer (Duchovny) who watches his dream TV project slowly dismantled by a barrage of industry executives, including a network president (Weaver) whose lineup features such breakout hits as "Slut Wars."
