According to The Hollywood Reporter, 20th Century Fox has picked up MATCHBREAKER, a spec by writer Adam Sztykiel.

Shawn Levy will produce the comedy via his 21 Laps Entertainment banner with an eye to direct.

The plot details are being kept close to the vest. The idea was generated internally at 21 Laps and developed into a screenplay by Sztykiel. "It is a high-concept comedy about two guys and a girl set against a vibrant cultural backdrop, which we haven't seen in a movie before," Levy said in an interview. "It is in line with 21 Laps' interest in comedies with heart and romance."
