David Strathairn will star in HEREAFTER, a drama set amid aftermath of the 2004 tsunami, with Chris Bender, Ben Katz and Madeline Ryan producing, reports Variety. Michael Patwin is directing the pic, set to be shot in Thailand early next year. Patwin also scripted the story, centered on an American clothing designer who must search for his wife and children after the tsunami separates the family in a remote area of Thailand, where they've been visiting the factory in which his garments are produced.
Strathairn received an actor Oscar nom for Good Night, and Good Luck and will be seen next in "We Are Marshall."
