Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) is in final negotiations to play an up-and-coming secret agent in Outlook Pictures and Furthur Films' The Sentinel, starring Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland and Kim Basinger.

The film follows a Secret Service agent (Douglas) enmeshed in a furtive affair with the first lady (Basinger). When another agent is murdered, Douglas becomes a suspect and is caught up in what may be a plot to assassinate the president. Sutherland plays Douglas' protege.

Clark Johnson (SWAT)is attached to direct the film, which begins shooting in May in Toronto.
