The crew behind the stage show "Jewtopia" is heading from the boards to the big screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Producer Tucker Tooley has optioned a screenplay loosely based on the long-running interfaith marriage comedy, with the play's co-creators and lead actors, Bryan Fogel and Sam Wolfson, attached to write and star in the film.
The script, titled CHRIS O'CONNELL AND ADAM LIPSSCHITZ LOSE THEIR RELIGION, follows a pair of childhood friends who reunite in their 30s and try to help each other find soul mates. Trouble erupts when they fall for women of different faiths, to the inevitable chagrin of their families.
