Vince Gilligan has been tapped for rewrite duties on
FLY ON THE WALL, a comedy that Will Ferrell is attached to at Universal Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story centers on an anti-social man who gets his life on track, discovering how to have a successful relationship and learning to truly believe in himself with the help of his best friend, a talking fly. Neil Tolkin was the original writer.
Gilligan is best known for his rewrite work on "Tonight, He Comes," Columbia's superhero movie that Peter Berg is directing. He is credited for reworking the project so that it attracted Will Smith, who is now starring in the movie. A 2008 release is being planned.
Gilligan was a writer/executive producer on TV's "The X-Files" and a co-creator of its short-lived spinoff, "The Lone Gunmen." His credits include "Wilder Napalm" and "Home Fries."
