Sarah Jessica Parker will star opposite Dennis Quaid in
SMART PEOPLE, the Noam Murro-directed comedy that begins shooting Nov. 6, reports
Variety.
Thomas Haden Church co-stars; Ellen Page ("Hard Candy") and Ashton Holmes ("A History of Violence") also have been set.
Parker replaces Rachel Weisz in the role of a doctor who falls for a professor whose wife's death has turned him into a bitter man. Mark Poirier penned the script.
Parker, who last starred in "Failure to Launch," recently wrapped the Mark Brokaw-directed "Spinning Into Butter."
