Source: Variety Warner Bros. Pictures has optioned Julie Kenner's upcoming novel, Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom, for Chris Columbus and Michael Barnathan's 1492 Pictures, and hired Kevin and Dan Hageman to adapt the screenplay. According to Variety, "Carpe Demon" is the tale of a stay-at-home mother who is charged with cleaning up her demon-ridden small town. The Novel is scheduled for publication July 5 as a Berkley trade paperback. The Hagemans wrote "The Nightmare of Hugo Bearing," which was purchased by Sony for Phoenix Pictures, and they were hired by Steven Spielberg to write his original idea, "Charlie Dills," for DreamWorks. {mosgoogle} |
