Jeff Daniels has joined the cast of director George Clooney's Goodnight, and Good Luck.
The film, which centers on the legendary on-air fights between Sen. Joseph McCarthy and newsman Edward R. Murrow tells the true story of how Murrow and producer Fred Friendly helped bring an end to the blacklist and the House Un-American Activities Committee's hearings on communist activities.
Clooney and producer Grant Heslov co-wrote the script. The Warner Bros release is scheduled for May of 2006.
