Jake Wade Wall penned the remake of the 1979 Columbia Pictures cult horror pic, starring Carol Kane as a high-school student traumatized while babysitting by a caller who repeatedly asks, "Have you checked the children lately?" After notifying the police, she is told that the calls are coming from inside the house.

West is currently helming  the Jerry Bruckheimer-produced pilot "American Crime" at CBS; he previously teamed with Bruckheimer on Sony's "Black Hawk Down," which he exec produced.
