Emma Roberts has signed to star in the comedy Camp Couture for Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Pictures.
The fish-out-of-water story follows a spoiled, trendy teen (Roberts) who is forced by her parents to go to a "regular" camp filled with misfits and not the famed elite fashion camp known as Camp Couture that she would like to attend. The story is based on an original idea by Cunningham, who is Roberts' mother.
Roberts stars in Nickelodeon's hit series "Unfabulous." She also is filming "Aquamarine" for Fox 2000 and is attached to star in the teen fantasy comedy "Bras and Broomsticks." In addition, she recently completed her first album for Columbia Records, which will be released in the summer as a soundtrack for "Unfabulous," says The Hollywood Reporter.
