Meryl Streep has signed on to star in Fox 2000's upcoming fashionista comedy The Devil Wears Prada, says The Hollywood Reporter. 

Wendy Finerman is producing "Devil," which is based on Lauren Weisberger's best-selling novel about a young woman who goes to New York to work for an all-powerful magazine editor named Miranda Priestly (Streep). Weisberger did a stint as an assistant to Vogue editor Anna Wintour. David Frankel is directing from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna ("The Laws of Attraction").
