IFC Films said Wednesday that it will partner with Hart Sharp Entertainment on The Night Listener, from director Patrick Stettner and starring Robin Williams and Toni Collette. IFC Films will executive produce the film, which is based on Armistead Maupin's international best-seller.

The film, which centers on popular radio host Gabriel Noone (Williams) and the events that unfold after he strikes up a telephone relationship with his biggest fan, a troubled and precocious young boy, just wrapped production in New York. The companies are hoping for a late fall or winter 2006 festival premiere.
