Source: Hollywood Reporter | | we3.jpg | Grant Morrison is in negotiations to adapt his We3 comic book into a feature film for New Line Cinema, according to The Hollywood Reporter. We3 was a three-issue limited series written by Morrison and drawn by Frank Quitely. It revolved around three pets, a dog, a cat and a bunny kidnapped from their homes by the government and hard-wired into military battle suits, turning into robo-assassins. When the government deems them expendable, they break out into the free world and to find their true home, all the while being ruthlessly hunted down by their former masters. The title, published this year by DC Comics division Vertigo, generated acclaim for its visceral storytelling. Although featuring so-called "talking animals," the book was violent and bloody. The movie would keep that hard edge reports the trade. {mosgoogle} |
