David Morrissey ("Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction") and Idris Elba ("The Wire") are joining Hilary Swank in The Reaping for Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter. 

Dark Castle and Chime Films are co-financing, while Joel Silver, Robert Zemeckis, Susan Levin and Herb Gains are producing.

The story centers on a university professor (Swank) who debunks miracles. She is summoned to a small Louisiana town by a man (Morrissey) to investigate a series of bizarre occurrences that appear to be the 10 biblical plagues.
